Admin console from internet

Hello,
is there a way (a configuration option) to manage Fess from the public internet, i.e. not only from http://localhost:8080 ?
I’m asking because my Fess installation runs on my VPS.
Is it possible, alternatively, to configure Fess Crawlers through the command line?

Fess provides Admin API.
